Journal policies
Frontiers in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology
Open access & licensing
All articles are free to read immediately on publication. The default licence is Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0); authors may choose CC BY-NC 4.0 at acceptance. Authors keep their copyright.
Article processing charges
There is no charge to submit or publish.
Peer review
Peer review is single-blind by default; Reviews and AI & Software Notes are double-blind and author metadata is stripped from files. Interesting Image, Letters and Editorials receive editorial review. Full-review articles are sent to at least two reviewers.
Publication ethics
The journal follows COPE guidance. Editors declare conflicts of interest per manuscript and never handle their own submissions.
Patient consent & de-identification
Case reports, Interesting Cases and Interesting Images require a consent attestation and the CARE checklist. Every file is scanned for identifiers; identifiable data is never published.
Use of AI tools
Every submission must disclose any use of generative AI, including drafts produced by the Research Studio in PET Vision, SPECT Vision or Radiology Vision. Authors remain responsible for the content.
Corrections & retractions
Errors are corrected by a linked Erratum; serious problems lead to a linked Retraction notice. The original article stays online with the notice attached.
